Delphi Granted Continuance of Section 1113/1114 Proceedings

TROY, Mich. — Delphi Corp. announced today that the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York has granted a recess of the 1113/1114 hearing until September 18, 2006, at 10 a.m. ET. The action follows a chambers conference conducted by the Court earlier today and meetings between Delphi, its major unions, General Motors and statutory committees. The adjournment is intended to allow the parties to continue to make progress in their discussions.
