Technology Transfer Specialists Honored

Two Delphi Technologies, Inc. (DTI) members were recently recognized for entrepreneurial growth efforts.

Jayson Pankin, new venture creation specialist for DTI, and Antonio Lück, business development analyst for DTI, both received special recognition for their roles in helping spin-out Delphi technologies into new startup Michigan ventures.

Pankin has been named "Intrapreneur Extraordinaire" by the Small Business Foundation of Michigan. This award acknowledges outstanding entrepreneurship within a Michigan corporation. Pankin leads DTI's venture creation activities and is developing a pipeline of technologies as candidates for future spin-outs. Pankin has been a venture partner specializing in early stage and turnaround situations for more than 25 years. He is currently mentoring Delphi's third Adams Entrepreneurial Fellow from Wayne State University.

Pankin has extensive experience with venture capitalists and development agencies seeking the next breakthrough technology for funding. These relationships have allowed him to access development funding, and to create high-tech ventures with medium and long term benefits targeted for Delphi. The current ventures, SpaceForm, Inc. and Monarch Antenna, Inc., are commercializing deformation resistance welding and self-structuring antenna technology, respectively.

Delphi's Antonio Lück was recently honored by being named among the "20 in their 20s" listing of professionals by Crain's Detroit Business.

Lück has been named one of the top "20 in their 20s" by Crain's Detroit Business; he was selected from a group of several hundred nominees of young professionals who have made their mark in the Detroit metro area. As a DTI analyst, Lück creates licensing strategies for Delphi technologies, develops strategic business plans, and has extensive direct interaction with potential venture and licensing partners. Lück holds a MBA from Wayne State University, as well as degrees in civil engineering and law from universities in his home country of Brazil. He is an advisor to Wayne State's MBA association and is also an Adams Entrepreneurial Fellow.
