Testing Services

The Vibration Laboratory at the Delphi Mexico Technical Center (MTC) can provide customers with efficient, reliable evaluation of performance and/or durability for a wide variety of components and systems. The Vibration Laboratory features an array of state-of-the-art test equipment and applies international industry standards and customer specific test requirements for evaluation of automotive components and many other non-automotive products.

Delphi's trained and highly skilled technicians can perform evaluations for resonance search, combined environmental testing, and systems monitoring.

Delphi's experienced engineers can develop vibration profiles based on raw data to help customers accelerate the testing process and obtain the same results as through real time evaluation.

The Delphi MTC Vibration Lab is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. Delphi ensures complete confidentiality and laboratory services are conducted to meet cost objectives and customer schedules.

The Delphi MTC Vibration Laboratory offers customers a wide range of evaluation services:

• Vibration wave forms: random, sinusoidal, and sine on random
• Frequencies: 5 Hz to 2,000 Hz
• Displacement: 2 inches (50 millimeters) peak to peak
• Temperature range: -40°C to 150°C
• Force: up to 20,000 pounds (9,070 kilograms)
• Maximum volume chamber: 17.5 feet³ (0.5 meter³) on a 32 inch (0.8 meters) length, width, height basis 
• Vibration on horizontal and vertical axes

• Non-Combined Vibration and Temperature Capabilities
• Maximum volume chamber: 1 meter³ (35.3 feet³)
• Vibration wave forms: random, sinusoidal, and sine on random
• Frequencies:  5 Hz to 2,000 Hz

• The MAST exposes products to vibration, temperature and humidity conditions in an environmental chamber to measure durability.
• Temperature range: -48°C to 121°C
• Humidity range: 5% to 95%
