Delphi's Environmental Windtunnel testing services can be used for the following purposes:

  • Real world climatic conditions simulation
  • Engine calibration
  • Cold and hot startability
  • Hill climb simulation
  • HVAC development
  • Engine cooling
  • Front-end airflow characterization

Operational Parameters

  • Temperature: -30°C to 55°C
  • Humidity: 5% to 95% (± 0.10°C wet bulb)
  • Wind speed:
    • 250 km/h (3.1 m2 nozzle)
    • 160 km/h (4.6 m2 nozzle)
  • Max Dynamometer speed: 200 km/h
  • Dynamometer power: 220 kW (2 WD)
  • Solar: full vehicle, full spectrum (117 CSI Lamps)
  • Data acquisition: Dynamotive FCS/NEFF (300 channels)
  • Rate: 10 Hz
  • Full vehicle instrumentation or on-board data acquisition
