Delphi Rollover Algorithm is a discrimination algorithm that detects changes in motion and position that lead to a vehicle rollover or potential fall over some rigid body. The algorithm allows for the use of less-expensive linear accelerometers compared to competing technologies using angular sensors. The algorithm has numerous scenarios mapped out to avoid false alarms.
