Delphi's Separation of Thermoplastic Polymers cleanly and effectively separates a product's materials after the product's service life, allowing the materials to be recycled. The separation process can be used with any combination of different polymers, or polymers and metal. Unlike other recycling processes, which can contaminate materials or separate them incompletely, this process easily and purely separates different plastics and metals by differences in their physical properties. It solves issues of material contamination and mixing, which is common in other recycling processes for different plastics. With today's growing demand for waste reduction and lower material expenses, this technology can play an important role in reducing material costs and increasing the recycling ability of products.
