Delphi PVC Primary Cable

Delphi (polyvinyl chloride) PVC Primary Cable helps original equipment manufacturers meet the demanding requirements of interior and chassis wiring harnesses where temperatures range from -40°C to +80°C. Delphi's unique formulation allows this cable to be used with compression seals instead of converting to more costly cross-linked polyolefin (XLPE) cables.

  • Proprietary, lead-free PVC insulation
  • Conductors available with unplated copper or tin-plated strands
  • Available in Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) sizes from 0.35 mm² to 8 mm² (SAE No. 22 to No. 8)
  • Three types
    • TWP (thin wall) meets SAE J1128 requirements
    • GPT meets SAE J1128 requirements
    • UTA (ultra thin wall) meets SAE J1678 requirements
  • Design meets demanding requirements of high speed, cable-cutting equipment

Typical Applications

  • To minimize harness weight and bundle size (UTA and TWP)
  • To provide additional resistance to physical abuse (GPT)
