Delphi Battery Temperature Sensor
The Delphi Battery Temperature Sensor measures battery case surface temperature, optimizing the battery charging system and helping prevent battery overheating. The sensor features a negative temperature coefficient thermistor that is assembled into an injection-molded shell. The design incorporates Delphi's stamped leadframe technology and a two-way sealed connector. A rubber grommet thermally isolates the measurement area from the surrounding environment and provides a spring force to maintain constant surface contact. Mounting details feature low- and high-disengage forces.
