Delphi XLPE Primary Cables

Constructed using cross-linked polyolefin, Delphi XLPE Primary Cables help original equipment manufacturers meet the demanding requirements of engine compartment and chassis wiring harnesses where temperatures range from -40°C to +125°C.

  • Meets Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1128 requirements
  • Conductors available with unplated copper or tin-plated strands
  • Available in SAE sizes from 0.35 mm2 to 8 mm2 (SAE No. 22 to No. 8)
  • Three types: TXL (thin wall), GXL, and SXL
  • Design meets demanding requirements of high speed, cable cutting equipment

Typical Applications

  • To minimize harness weight and bundle size (TXL)
  • To provide additional resistance to physical abuse (GXL) per SAE J1128
  • For heavy-duty trucks, helping provide extreme resistance to physical abuse (SXL)
