Ethics and compliance.

At Delphi we foster a culture of responsibility, guided by integrity. Translating words into action is part of why we continue to be recognized as an ethical leader.

Refreshed in 2016, more than 95 percent of employees participated in online Code of Ethical Business Conduct training, while more than 4,000 attended in-person sessions on a variety of topics. We remind employees of the importance of ethical behavior through frequent communications, including the “Compliance Chronicle,” an internal article series highlighting real-world challenges and reinforcing the importance of doing the right thing.

Delphi DRIVE Line (Diversity, Respect, Integrity, Value and Excellence), allows employees to anonymously report alleged ethical or compliance violations, without fear of retaliation. Our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team investigates all reported incidents.

Global trade and compliance.

For Delphi, our supply chain's operating procedures and practices are as important as those at our own facilities. We view our suppliers as a direct reflection of our business. That’s why we go beyond just requiring ethics, environmental and health and safety practices. Through direct supplier communication and active participation in industry groups, we are also committed to supporting responsible sourcing and evaluating and monitoring risks based on supplier location, operation type and overall reputation for integrity. We do this not just to meet regulations, but because it is the right thing to do.

Corporate social responsibility has been incorporated in our Manufacturing Capability Assessment, an audit conducted at supplier facilities. We then recognize noteworthy supplier accomplishments in corporate social responsibility with our “Making A Difference” award.

Diversity.

From our board of directors to teams on the manufacturing floor, our culture welcomes innovative, fresh thinking from every level of our diverse employee base. As a global company, transcending race, culture, ethnicity, sex and age demographics is critically important to our success.

In 2016, Delphi was recognized as one of the Top 50 Out Front Companies for Diversity Leadership and named a “Best Place to Work for Diverse and Women Managers” by Diversity MBA.

Delphi is proud to host an annual, industry-leading Supplier Diversity Matchmaker Program, which brings diversity-owned suppliers together with our own suppliers, people and customers.

Awards

Living our values.

We are proud to have been named one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” (WME) for the fifth year in a row, demonstrating our ongoing commitment and leadership in ethical business practices.

Each year, the recognition is awarded by the Ethisphere Institute, an international organization that honors companies that not only embrace, but lead the way in ethical behavior. Recipient companies are selected using scores generated in five key categories: ethics and compliance programs, corporate citizenship and responsibility, culture of ethics, governance, and leadership, innovation and reputation.

Excellence in social responsibility.

Throughout 2016, Delphi Korea dedicated over 800 volunteer hours to local community activities. As a result, the Gyeonggi Province announced Delphi as the only company awarded for CSR contributions at the 2016 Gyeonggi Foreign-Invested Company Day.

In response to outstanding contributions Automobile & Parts magazine in China recognized Delphi as one of two Social Responsibility Award winners.

Honors in education.

In Krakow, Poland, Delphi was recognized for exemplary support of local universities and communities, as well as efforts promoting educational initiatives for employees and their relatives.

In China, Delphi was honored by Jiading governors and Shanghai’s vice-mayor for long-term support to the Cheng Jia Mentally Challenged School.

Supply chain distinction.

Delphi was honored as one of four companies to receive the CSR Excellence Award Program’s “Green Supply Chain Award.” Supported by government bodies and organized by Shanghai Daily, this award acknowledged Delphi’s efforts related to the “Europe to China Train” project, which focused on reducing carbon footprint.

Institutional Investor Most Honored company.

We are proud to have been named a 2016 “Most Honored” company by Institutional Investor. The recognition acknowledges excellence in corporate leadership and investor relations. Of nearly 2,000 companies considered, 144 were distinguished as “Most Honored” for three or more ranked positions in two or more categories.
