Robert J. Dellinger, 48, is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Delphi Corporation. He is also a member of the Delphi Strategy Board, the company's top policy-making group.
In 1983, Dellinger joined General Electric completing the GE Financial Management Program before spending five years on the GE Corporate Audit Staff. In 1990, he joined GE Plastics as Manager of Operations Analysis and Financial Support. In 1991, he was named Manager of Finance at GE Superabrasives. In 1993, Dellinger joined GE Plastics Pacific based in Singapore as director of finance and business development. In 1995, he was named manager of finance for GE Motors and Industrial Systems. In 1997, Dellinger was named an officer of GE and executive vice president and chief financial officer of General Electric's Employers Reinsurance Corporation (GE ERC), which was one of the world's largest reinsures with revenues of $9.0 billion. In 2000, he was named president and chief executive officer of GE Frankona Re, based in Munich, Germany, with responsibility for the European and Asian operations of GE ERC.
In 2002, Dellinger joined Sprint as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Sprint Corp., a $28 billion provider of telecommunications services. He was named to his current position in October 2005.
Dellinger graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1982 with a bachelor of arts in economics and a minor in accounting.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of SIRVA, Inc., and serves on several boards and capital committees.
